A Devotional Activity Book
by J.R. Spencer

Written to accompany morning devotions for middle-school students, The Romans Road is an activity book that can be used for almost any age. Each of the 40 devotional pages invites participants to begin by reading a portion of scripture from the book of Romans, to continue with a time of prayer based on one of five different prayer models, to respond to some devotional questions on the readings, and finally to respond with a time of worship with the rest of the group. The pages are set up so that participants can write out their answers or draw them if preferred and each page includes areas that can be coloured in and decorated should time permit.

Everyone Who Calls

A song by J.R. Spencer to accompany the Romans Road study.

Verse 1
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (3:23)
The wages of sin is death. (6:23a)
Yet while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (5:8b)

Chorus
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (10:13)
Suffering produces endurance;
Endurance produces character;
Character produces hope. (5:3-4)
God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,
who has been given to us. (5:5)

Verse 2
The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus. (6:23b)
God shows his love for us in (5:8a)
That, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (5:8b)

Verse 3
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (10:9)
And believe in your heart that (10:9)
God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10:9)
